Individual components

Zenned is an aggregate of components, each one with its own individual license. Nearly all of which are libre and open source.

You can generally check each individual software license in the application “add/remove software”.

Canonical licenses

The canonical license for Zenned code is the latest GNU Affero License, as it requires any derived code or web service to be libre too.

The canonical license for Zenned media and documentation is the latest CC-BY-SA license, as it requires any derived work to be libre too.

Text and screenshots in this wiki are under this last license. Pictures have their license stated when you click on them. Gifs are from Giphy, used with the copyright exception of parody.

Limitations

Note that even when licenses provide freedom to use components in various ways, they still abide to trademark requirements.
